“ I have been here several times, and I will come here whenever I’m craving Japanese fried chicken. What’s best is the no-carb option: you can choose either grilled or fried chicken with salad, which is so yummy and satisfying. Although it’s evil, the fried chicken is so juicy and crunchy.... My fav fried chicken shop in Van. ”
“ Very authentic Japanese karage l. Huge chicken portions and huge pieces too! Also had their shrimp cake sandwich. Very crispy patty and the bread was soft and sweet. I had a great time here! ”
“ Small place with Japanese vibes and really good fried chicken, very different from North American or Korean. The mogu salad is top! The portions are good, they have good prices in Japanese beers. ”
“ I've been going to this restaurant since they first opened and am always amazed by the consistent high quality, flavourful food that they continue to produce. The chicken karaage is incredibly juicy and crispy, the prices are very reasonable and the service is always top notch. I've also tried most of the items on their menu and can confidently say anything you order will be delicious. Shout out to the amazing chefs and waitresses Yuki, Kaoru & Yuha! ”
“ Everything comes fresh. Fried chicken(karaage) is marinated well, and juicy. Mogu salad is a must try and their fries are good side orders to pair with. If you order the short rib rice bowl, make sure you dine in as the hot stone-bowl creates a nice crust. ”
“ Great food! We came after attending the bunny cafe. The fried chicken was delicious and juicy with a pretty decent portion. Not a big fan of the sauces that came with the chicken though. We also got the rice bowl with beef. This was the highlight of dinner. It was the best dish on the table. I’d go back for this dish alone. Overall, I’d recommend this restaurant though the table we got was quite small. ”
“ Great food! Wanting to try this place out a few times, but they only open for dinner service. A few people have recommended this place for a while. This place is not that big, so there may be waits during evenings and weekends, but SO worth the wait! We had: Mogu Salad Bowl - 5 pieces (18) Shio Garlic Lemon Sauce Teishoku - 5 pieces (24) Miso soup, mogu salad and rice with Original Sweet Chili Mogu Ginger Ale (4.50) - Great taste and very refreshing. They gave us an extra piece of chicken each, because the pieces were small today. We thought both of the sauces were delicious. The Chicken was super crispy and juicy. The mogu salad was different, but really good. Service was awesome. Both the waitress was very nice. ”
“ Mogu Fried Chicken on Commercial is fantastic! The chicken is incredibly juicy and perfectly seasoned, and their potato salad is a must-try. The set meals are great value, making the price very reasonable. I loved the relaxing lighting and music, and the service was wonderfully pleasant and Japanese-polite. A top-notch experience all around! ”
